Depois do SBSR, um amigo meu andou durante a semana seguinte a ouvir uma compilação dos seus temas favoritos do Prince. Entre eles constava Sexy Motherfucker, um dos seus grandes êxitos. Recordo-me perfeitamente a altura da sua saída e o impacto que teve, principalmente entre a minha geração que ouvia esta música entre risos e murmurinhos. Isto porque o refrão era do mais gráfico que tinha ouvido na época, sendo natural para uma criança ter na ponta da língua aquilo que era interpretado como a música da moda  com uma pitada de "rebeldia" à mistura (sim, porque proferir "asneiras" em inglês já era muito à frente).

Hoje em dia, já com outra maturidade, dou por mim a ouvir Sexy MF e a conseguir ler nas entrelinhas o verdadeiro significado da letra. Aliás, toda a sua base já é bastante self-explanatory, tendo apenas me passado ao lado, porque não conseguia ir além de captar "sexy motherfucker... shakin that ass"...

Quem diria que aquilo que foi em tempos (na minha óptica) uma mera música "ordinária" (dizia eu quando era miúdo), responsável por provocar o aparecimento de novas tendências como foi com o "Pedro Abrunhosa e os Bandemónio" (um claro plágio do verdadeiro Artist), é de facto uma música com o seu "quê" de romantismo, num discurso "agressivo" e directo para com "a mulher dos seus olhos"...
